Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas

From the last weekend in October until January 1st, Hallmark Channel runs the seasonal block called Countdown to Christmas, featuring a mix of holiday movies, specials and holiday-themed original programming. Countdown to Christmas officially began in 2009, while the channel’s first holiday original movie was aired in 2000. Since 2012, the network has also held a “Christmas in July” event with airings of previous movies. In February 2019, it was announced that in honor of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Countdown to Christmas event, the channel would air selections of movies on Friday nights throughout the year. This is continuing in 2020.

  • Jennifer says:

Do you not have any Christmas movies playing after December 16th? I’ve come back several times, and nothing has been added. I’d love to see an updated schedule.

  • Barb MAson says:

I could think of an older classic but a non Christmas film. Seen it once in early 2000 and never seen it since. It is called “Bridge of Time” made in 1997 with Susan Dey. Apparently it did come out on DVD but over in darn Thailand???? Love the really older Hallmarks, we get very few of them so love all we do get.

  • Julie Goebel says:

  • Joy Aldridge says:

“Catch A Christmas Star”, I wish there would be a sequel, I just saw it the first time last week(11/6/2019). It is a wonderful story and great acting.

  • Everettcaf says:

    Hello. And Bye.

  • Anonymous says:

Love the Hallmark channels…. missing Christmas Getaway. Only see it being shown twice … and missing Love at the Thanksgiving Parade

  • Anonymous says:

Hallmark needs to make More Family Christmas Movies not all Love Stories Man Look for Women or Women Looking Man Real Christmas Movies Love Stories and Good but not all Christmas Long Make Christmas Shows Like You Use to About the Meaning of Christmas not Just Looking for Love more Family Christmas Movies Thanks and God Bless.

  • Cheryl says:

Too much with the Christmas movies – show them on Hallmark and leave the mystery channel for mysteries! I’m missing my Murder She Wote and Columbia early in the morning! (Need to show super chunks of Columbo! Please!)

  • Anonymous says:

I have been waiting for “The Christmas List” with Alicia Witt. Loved that movie. Why hasn’t it been on and when will it be on?

  • anonymous says:

Not happy with hallmark movies/mystery channel. I only wanted this channel for mysteries. I did not expect to have Christmas movies all day for months. The other hallmark channel also has Christmas movies. Last year the Hallmark mystery/movie channel stared with Christmas moves in October (all day ) thru January. Getting ready to drop this channel

  • Brenda Dodge says:

I Love the fact with the way you’ve set up the showing of the Christmas Movies please don’t stop!. Thank you Hallmark for showing them all year round. I live in Texas and its up 102 to 105 degrees with the heat index of 105 to 110. Hot, Hot, Hot!!!. Helps cool things down.

  • CAROL ILLIG says:

I AM SOOOO SICK OF CHRISTMAS SHOWS. STOP IT… SHOW SOME GOLDEN GIRLS AND FRAZIER. I can’t get to sleep at night . Right now ,I’m so sick of hearing about Christmas, that I may skip it this year, you have burnt me out on it..
    Thanks a LOT!!!!

  • Marjorie says:

Why isn’t Window Wonderland shown more, and during prime time hours?

  • Kathy says:

where is November Christmas, Christmas in Conway, Christmas Melody and Love you like Christmas

  • Roberta says:

Hallmark Channel:Just a note.I’ve been enjoying watching some of your hallmark Christmas movies on couple of the stations you have out.Only drawback is that both your channels needs work!It gets distorted at times or freezes up.You need to fix your hallmark channels so we can all enjoy the movies without it’s interruptions.
Those are the only channels that do that as I’ve checked my other tv stations to see if they freeze up or get distorted as well & they do not.My sister as well says the same thing. So it’s not the cable it’s your channels only. Thankyou

  • Janet says:

I can’t find Single Santa Seeks Mrs. claus

  • Sandy Casey says:

There is a problem with your movies: the movies on the Hallmark channel and Movies & Mysteries, while different, are both listed as the same. For example, Road to Christmas is on M&M, but is listed as showing on both!

  • Judie says:

What happened to November Christmas and The town Christmas Forgot? Two of my favorites!!!!!!!!!

  • doris delp says:

My complaint is sound which I svery poor. When the commercial comes on it is ok. My area is tampabay fl I have friends in OK an AZ that has the same problem.

  • Bill says:

Too bad some of the ones aren’t being played…no “A Dog Named Christmas” and “November Christmas” this year? Two of my family’s favorites.

  • Corey Mingues says:

I like the new movies but I think u should throw in an older Christmas movie every once in a while. Like “The Christmas Shoes” or “Holiday In Your Heart”. Both are really good movies. And should be showed every once in a while. Thank you very much for listening.

    • Anonymous says:

Totally agree its all drama and as soon as a movie starts ..you know its a marriage to be.
This one avoids one or the other and they are all the same..endings ..

    • Karen says:

Definitely need to show the older movies! What happened to “the ultimate gift” best hallmark movie ever! You should go back to 24 hour schedule of just Christmas movies and show them all. Very disappointed this year!

  • Christmas says:

Love all the new and old Christmas movies ! Would love to see some older ones love Christmas and the movies thank you hallmark for all the wonderful movies !

  • Norma says:

Ya know ya can’t please everyone & it’s not even worth trying to. No matter what changes you made they still wouldn’t be satisfied. I happily watch all the reruns of Golden Girls, Frasier and Cheers every night for almost 10 months a year. I seen them so many times I know all the dialogue already. The Christmas movies are a nice change of pace for a bit. Sorry for those of you that hate them but guess you just have to deal with it.

  • Susan Wachtel says:

Are you planning on broadcasting only Christmas movies on both the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel from October 27, 2017 thru December 25, 2017? Right now that’s the only programming available on your channels. Are you going to have any regular programming between now and Christmas?

I love Christmas and I enjoy a good Christmas movie. I enjoy the Hallmark Channels…but this way too much. 24/7 Christmas movies starting in October is overload.

If your aim is get people to watch your channels, it may backfire. I haven’t watched the Hallmark Channel since it started the 24/7 Christmas movie broadcasting. If you at least waited until Thanksgiving that might make sense…but before Halloween.

It’s kind of like when I walking in to Hobby Lobby in the summer and they are starting to put out Christmas decorations. It’s just too much.

Is it going to be this way for the next two months? Please advise.

    • Anonymous says:

      Bah Humbug! I love them!

    • Anonymous says:

I agree with you! It’s way too much. I haven’t watched the channel since it started and can’t wait for things to be back to normal.

    • Pamela says:

I love the Christmas movies I can’t wait for them to start. I could watch them 24/7 in fact I do I recorded most of them. They are the sweetest most wonderful feel good movies there are. I like to watch nice stories sweet stories instead of all the bad things in life I thank god for you hallmark and I couldn’t amazin life without the holiday movies.

      • Priscilla Sappenfield says:

I LOVE the Christmas movies and all my friends do as well. I’ve even I’ve heard men say they love them as well. Thanks Hallmark!! You have two loyal watchers from this home. Please keep these love stories coming.

    • TracioneS says:

There Is no law written in cement that says you have to watch the Hallmark channels, this time of year if you’re so annoyed with the programming. There are over a hundred other channels you can go watch. Me, I look forward to this time of year for the Christmas marathon, and I’m sadden when it’s over.
I am also very pleased to know that they will continue in 2020 what they started in 2019 showing a Christmas movie on Friday nights. YEAH!!!

      • TracioneS says:

I also agree with those of you in saying that I would like to have seen Hallmark reach deeper into that large library of Christmas movies it has amassed in the past ten years and further back to show more of them during it’s tenth anniversary. Maybe next year we’ll see some of our favorites from the past, shown throughout the year, and during the Christmas in July marathon. Something to hope for look forward to, don’t you think?

  • Anonymous says:

I love Xmas movies but I can watch them beginning on Thanksgiving Day not before Halloween.
Leave movies mysteries open as a break from some of the xmas movies.

  • delma bailey says:

i would like to see some of old movies mix with new movies ,like new movie showing then a old movie showing ,,,etc the old movies are the best

    • Linda Hunsaker says:

GOOD IDEA on old movies – old 30s 40s – the best
      and bring Fraiser back
these same same same OMG 24 hr same movies

    • Ali says:

I agree, they seem to be playing just the movies from the last year or two mostly and there are many that were from a little earlier that I wish they would play. Some may be on Movies and Mysteries but that is not available for our area without special equipment.

  • Eunice Price says:

Watching any Hallmark Christmas movie any more is like listening to Handel’s “Messiah” performed by other choirs and expecting something different.
Boring, mundane and formulaic. Exactly what the middle American mentality can cope with.

  • delma bailey says:

November Christmas and silver bell these are best Christmas movies of all time and you not show them .should show new Christmas with the old mix the up

  • Kathie Rouse says:

Please bring back the Christmas movies that starred Peter Falk as the Angel Max, and Katy Segal as a lady Angel. They are my favorites. I can’t find them on DVD.

  • Bonnie says:

I am a fan of Catch a Christmas Star – which is airing now, so early in am. I hope you play it again!!

  • Marie says:

I am sorry to say that all of your very valid complaints are falling on deaf ears, Apparently, the only concern that Hallmark has is money. The very fact that they created a new channel, in which you must get a upgrade to your cable service to receive it, speaks volumes. Buy the movies that you love, if they are available and forget watching Hallmark. They could care less about their loyal viewers. If you read through the comments, you will see that the same older movies, that really have a beautiful message that depicts the entire reason for the season, are no longer shown e.g. The Christmas Card, Silver Bells, just to mention a few.
    Very, very disappointing!!
They really need a competitor that is toned in to the concern of the viewers!!

  • Rich says:

My sister and I both love The Christmas Card and even though I have I on DVD I think it should be shown every year for support of our service men. Another is Christmas Visitor. I am a veteran and somewhat old fashioned. These movies make me feel really good inside.

  • Anonymous says:

My daughter and i love a Hallmark movie called Undercover Christmas from 2003, we love this cute Christmas movie and we cant even buy it. Wish you would bring it back and air it !!! Loved it!!!

  • rachel says:

I would love to see the Christmas shepherd come to dvd or see it back on hallmark channel

  • Gail says:

All the 2015 Christmas movies were thoroughly enjoyable. My favorite was “Crown for Christmas” which I watched nine times. Thank you, Hallmark, for a lovely season of movies.

    • Karen says:

I agree. Crown for Christmas is fine favorite as well and I watch it everytime it is shown because I never tire of it.
Thanks, Hallmark, for such lovely, refreshing movies.

  • Tammy Craft says:

I absolutely love and look so forward to the Christmas movies! I really wish they were played all year long! Where I live we have two Hallmark channels. I would think that one of them could be a Christmas station all year. Thank you so much

  • Norma says:

Mrs. Claus I wouldn’t want your job for all the money in the world. Having to listen to all the whiners must be pretty tiring! If you don’t like what’s showing then move on to another channel. I do agree, however, that some of the movies were repeated often while some of the favorites were never shown. I did enjoy the entire season of holiday movies though. As I said before I watch Golden Girls, Frasier, Cheers and I Love Lucy for ten months straight so it was nice to watch the Christmas lineup. I hope Hallmark does it all again the next holiday season. I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!! Go Hallmark!!!!!

    • Norma, how do you survive without Golden Girls, Frasier, and Cheers? I hold my breath all during the season Hallmark replaces them with these dull, dry, poorly acted “Christmas” movies!!! Bring back my 3 favorites the minute the holiday is over.

      • Norma says:

Sue Ann I love Golden Girls, Frasier & Cheers too! The Christmas stuff is just a nice change of pace for me. It has always been my favorite time of the year since I was a kid. I’m a senior citizen now & I guess I kinda live vicariously through some of the movies. Can’t do much decorating for the holidays anymore. I wholeheartedly agree with you about the poor acting in some of the movies and I know the story lines are pretty much the same. Come January I’ll be back watching my “other 3 favorites!” Just like you. Merry Christmas Sue Ann to you and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

  • Ashley says:

I was very upset Christmas with Holly was not played this year. Everything that was played was repeated night after night and everyone I talked to was tired of them.

  • fred Meyers says:

I have enjoyed watching some of your movies such as let it snow, puppy love, ice sculptured Christmas, portrait of love, a novel romance, a taste of romance. However I object to including in some of the other films the expositing of busty women’s breast and women’s short skirts, which seems to indicate modest isn’t important. Also, in some many of your film drinking (sometimes making fools of themselves) is acceptable, when there is so much evidence the great harm it has cause throughout our country for many decades. Is it ok to do so for the profit it brings to the industry? The films I have mentioned (above) have been entertaining. Please make more of them.

  • Joy says:

I love Hallmark movies, but (and there’s always a but) your schedule has been terrible. Due to my obligations, I watch TV 8pm to midnight one day and 6pm to 10 pm the next. It seems like whatever movie I watch late one night is on early evening the next. This has been most annoying. Also, does Hallmark plan on releasing Meet the Santas on dvd. I love that movie and hate that I can’t watch it during the year like I do Single Santa Seeking Mrs. Claus.

  • Loretta says:

When is the 2nd part of “The Bridge” showing. I thought they said Saturday, Dec 12th 9:00 but if you look at your schedule it was another movie???? Love your Hallmark Channels.

  • Margaret Prater says:

I watched the first part of The Bridge tonight. I did not know it was a 2 part movie. I am extremely disappointed. Is it true we have to wait a full year before seeing the second half? This is very unfair to us viewers. We should not have to wait to see the ending. Or perhaps it is a ploy to get us to buy Karen Kingsley’s book “The Bridge”. I will be much more careful in the future as to what I watch. I dislike 2 part movies if we are just going to be left hanging.

  • Gail Pfeifer says:

When will PART 2 of THE BRIDGE be shown. I just watched Part 1 and can’t tell you how disappointed I was to see it was a continuation. I thought it said Part 2 would be in December of 2016. SURELY THIS CAN’T BE CORRECT.

  • Linda says:

Love xmas time movies, but hate during week any other time of year old series in evening, Would be nice to have a movie or two during he week, the weekend is only good time for that.

  • Diane says:

Geez, I’m seeing all these old Chrismas movies that I too loved to watch that had alot of meaning and wondered where they were, but if you will go here http://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysteries.com/movies you will see where all the good movies are showing. Channel 565 on Direct TV.

This is really terrible that Hallmark made this split in their channel access. Is hard enough to afford one channel and then to loose all the old Christmas favorites to a new channel when everyone has been anticipating the old shows we have learned to love. So Sad Hallmark.

  • Norma says:

I don’t understand all the complaining about Christmas movies being on too early. I have watched Golden Girls and Frasier reruns every single night for the last 10 months. It’s a welcome change to see something different for a short time.

  • Terrri says:

    I AGREE with Jill

  • JiLL says:

I HATE the fact that they start Christmas movies the first week of November. I disagree with you all. I don’t want them to take off the Golden Girls. November 2nd is way too early to start promoting Christmas. Think about it ladies. All Hallmark around this time is just a giant advertisement for you to buy their Christmas products. Not having the Golden Girls on is ruining my morning routine going to work. I think they should start promoting Christmas around Thanksgiving time. I am not sure why promote Christmas so early. Hallmark will lose lots of advertising dollars because thousands of people like myself will not be watching. More people turn into the Golden Girls then holiday movies.

    • Anonymous says:

Oh, you said all I wanted to say! I am not a Grinch but this channel’s commitment to
Christmas 24/7 for two months is way over the top for me. I felt this way the past
few years and just wanted to voice that as well. Based on the previous comments
I am a minority but the Hallmark Channel should realize there are other viewers
as well. See you in december for a few movies but my viewing eye on a regular
      basis won’t be until January.

    • Judy says:

Airing Christmas movies beginning in OCTOBER(!) is more than a tad over the top! No, I’m not the grinch, no I don’t hate Christmas, but really?!!! Now that Christmas is over, you’re still showing Christmas movies???!

    • Anonymous says:

Totally agree! Love my Golden Girls! Too many Christmas sappy movies!

  • BAM says:

I love the Hallmark channel. Their programming is great for family viewing. My biggest complaint is the number of commercials during a show. I counted 12 commercials during one commercial break. The average commercial break usually has 9. That is absolutely ridiculous. . We have cable TV, which means we pay for the Hallmark Channel. There are times we choose not to watch a movie, just because we know there will be so many commercials.

  • Diana says:

I would like to print a schedule of the holiday movies that will be shown on my Hallmark channel; dish 185. Will this be possible at some point or is it available now? Also those scheduled for Hallmark movies and mysteries channel; dish 187. I don’t currently have this channel with my package, but it seemed as though last year, there were some movies on that channel that were some of my favorite ones and were not available on dish 185.

  • Norma says:

I’ve been slowly building my own DVD collection of Christmas movies. When I see a good price on one I buy it. This way I can watch them all year round. Christmas movies are my favorite. I know a lot of people are complaining they’re on too early & repeated too much. To each his own! I’m patiently waiting for my copy of “Snow Bride” to be delivered. It was a bit more than I normally spend on movies but worth every penny to me. Love that movie. Thank you Hallmark for such an extensive collection of Christmas movies!!

    • Sandy says:

I lôve the Christmas movies and I do not think they start too early. In our town people start shopping in July and Aug. I wish we could get hallmark mysteries cannot. Can’t get the new one either. I called our cable company and they said we could not get it, not even at a higher cost. Christmas card is my favorite. To each his own. Christmas is my ,favorite time of year. It is a time when all my family gets together at once. Therfore, I love it. It is too hard during the year for all of us to be together.

    • Sandy says:

The poll of which movie missed most from 2014 was hard.
I missed them all alot. Three Days I did see on another channel, though is always a must see.
The Christmas List and Undercover Christmas I missed so much. It was the first year since they came out I didnt see them. I even looked into buying and couldnt find them at a cheap price. Smoky Mountain Christmas is also really cute though I think I saw it on lifetime not sure, if its the one with Dolly.
I would prefer that older movies be on so that there is less repetitiveness and more options.
Especially between the two Hallmark channels its nice to have different movies on both channels each nite and throughout the week to choose from. NOT just the same one or two movies over and over.

  • The Christmas line up is dull, several good ones are ommite, and the current ones are awful..I do not watch Hallmark anymore

  • Hi, my name is Mr. Jeremy Allocca, This upcoming 2015 holiday season, I can’t wait to see North pole 2 Open For Christmas, it is the sequel to last year’s North pole, I can’t wait to see it because I’ve been waiting all year to see this, since last year after I saw the trailer for North pole 2 Open For Christmas after North pole’s first T.V. airing on November 15, 2014. And North pole 2 Open For Christmas will air on November, 21, 2015 which is set to premiere the weekend before Thanksgiving, and I can’t wait for it to come out on DVD so I can get it on DVD, So I can have that one with the Original from last year. Also Thanksgiving week, Hallmark Channel is going to play North pole 2 Open For Christmas one night, a new one named Tis the season for love on another night, on November 26, 2015, Thanksgiving another new one called Ice Sculpture Christmas will premiere, on November 27, 2015, another new one named Crown for Christmas will premiere, and then on November 28, 2015 another new one called On time for Christmas which was previously called A Christmas to remember with Fuller house’s Candace Cameron Bure will premiere. Also I have heard this year’s Hallmark channel’s countdown to Christmas is supposed to be the Biggest Ever with 16 new movie premieres starting Saturday October 31, which is Halloween Day, Also in the coming weeks, Hallmark channel will release a detailed Christmas T.V. schedule for this year 2015.

  • Pat says:

I was set to tape all of the Hallmark Christmas shows in July and the man came and changed out my cable box and i lost them all. Will they be on the air again this year?

Thank you. I was so disappointed.

    • Mrs. Claus says:

I am so sorry Pat! Hallmark will start airing Christmas movies again on October 31st. Stay tuned for the schedule 🙂

  • Ken says:

very disappointed that the movie “angels and ornaments” is hidden from viewers. I know it is one of the best movie that was shown this past Christmas. every other movie is available for purchase but not angels and ornaments, WHY? what is wrong with you people, OMG come on get with it!!!!

  • Lea says:

My husband and I agree with Marie who wrote on December 27, 2014:

“I am so disappointed in the Christmas movie selection this year. All of the older Christmas movies e.g. Silver Bells, The Christmas Card and The Wishing Tree were not shown on the Hallmark channel I get.”

We have been loyal Hallmark Channel viewers for years and were looking forward to this year’s season of Christmas movies. However, when we discovered that many of our favorites had been moved to another Hallmark Channel, we were very disappointed but decided we were willing to pay the extra monthly fee to continue our family Christmas traditions. When I contacted our carrier, we were told that the only way we could add the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel was to upgrade our entire package to the HD package! That would have meant replacing our TVs and all new equipment, none of which was feasible for us. So we were stuck with the one Hallmark Channel which not only did not show our favorites but added several new inane and overly predictable movies to their line up – gone were the clever plots. Most of the new movies have a pat format – main character dating unemotional, commercially employed partner and/or in awful job; meets attractive, free-spirited, alternative that steals the heart of the star too early in the movie. While that has often been the underlying theme of the old movies, they included interesting situations or thoughtful plots. Add us to the list of very disappointed Hallmark watchers.

  • Hapee says:

Will you PLEASE stop with the Christmas movies!!!! The holidays are over, deal with it!! Some of us have had enough and would like to enjoy some regular shows before you bombard us with Valentine’s day nausea. I specifically dropped AT&T because they didn’t carry The Hallmark channel and now I’m seriously regretting it. Enough already!!

  • Sue says:

Thank you so much for playing the Most Wonderful Time of the Year today. I watched every minute. I enjoy every one of your movies and I think it is wonderful that you play them for as many weeks as you do. It puts us in the Christmas spirit. I certainly do not agree with those who think you play them too much. PLEASE do it again next year.

  • Sue says:

Thank you so much for playing my favorite. The Most Wonderful Time of the year today. I watched every minute. Also love, All I Want forChristmas, the Christmas Ornament, the Christmas Card, Meet the Santa’s and etc. etc. etc. Thank you again.

  • Barbara Edwards says:

Can’t tell you how disappointed I am with the selection of Christmas movies this year (2014). The 2013 and 2014 movies were shown over and over. The older favorites–if shown at all seemed to be so early in the morning, that they weren’t listed in the paper. Yes, new is good, but the old shows are timeless and so meaningful to all ages. Examples:The Christmas Card, The Most Wonderful Time Of The year, Fallen Angel, are just a few. In the past, I was glued to Hallmark Channel, but I watched very little this year.

  • janet says:

I would like to see more of Brandon Routh and Gil Bellows.

  • Marie says:

I am so disappointed in the Christmas movie selection this year. All of the older Christmas movies e.g. Silver Bells, The Christmas Card and The Wishing Tree were not shown on the Hallmark channel I get. The decision not to show these movies, is a poor decision and will likely lead to viewers turning the Hallmark channel off. In view of the disappointing Christmas movies, I doubt that I will be tuning in to Hallmark any time soon. I will have to purchase the DVDs I like. A displeased former Hallmark viewer.

  • Libby says:

Too much Christmas movies. Break it up. Leave movies mysteries
Open. Don’t flood all Hallmark with Christmas movies. I need
Murder she wrote, Perty Mason, Matlock, etc for my entertainment. Is why I paid for the satalite.

  • Brenda Erickson says:

I am wondering if it is possible to order some piano music for two of the songs played in, I believe, Best Christmas Party Ever. One of the songs could have been named Twas the Night Before Christmas and there weren’t words for the other song. In the movie, the songs had been written by the actresses’ grandfather, I think he was called “H”.

  • Nicki VanMeter says:

Please, put on tv more before the end of the year. THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR. lOVE ALL THE MOVIES, LOVED CHRISTMAS CARD.

  • Cheryl Markovitz says:

Love the Christmas movies!!!! You need to add more of the regular Christmas movies…. Where is The a Christmas Card, One Magic Christmas, The Red Shoes…. So many movies, no need to limit to the same 15 movies, over and over!!! Love your channel

      This isn’t Hallmark’s website.

The November movies in the Countdown to Christmas are no longer showing in the above list kept by Mrs. Claus, but when they were there, between November and December I counted at least 66 movies being shown. It may seem like only 15 movies, but it is far from it. Sixty-six+ movies is actually a pretty good selection.

And “The Christmas Card” — along with many others in a totally different line-up — has been shown repeatedly on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel (where they have something like 43 or 48 movies in the rotation). It was just on again last night.

  • Heather says:

I love watching the Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel every year and look forward to seeing the new ones. I and several other people I know that wait all year for these were very disappointed to not see Silver Bells, A Season for Miracles and Christmas Wish in the line up. The line up this year has been pretty good, but don’t you think Mrs. Miracle, Call Me Mrs. Miracle and a few others have been OVER played (not saying I don’t like watching them) but it would be nice to see some of the other older movies that have been played in the past!

    • betty says:

2 months is waaaaay too much for xmas movies! I miss the mysteries!!!!! you should make a xmas channel all the times, and have an alternative xmas show, such as mysteries for us that like a spot of xmas movies, but not 2 months of it, 24/7.

  • Patty says:

I am so disappointed that many of my favorite Hallmark movies are not being aired on the regular Hallmark Channel this year. I don’t have access to the Hallmark Movie Channel and will miss the movies I was most looking forward to: A Season for Miracles, The Christmas Card, Loves Christmas Journey, A Christmas Visitor, and several others. So disappointing! I tried to purchase A Season for Miracles online, but it was $34.95 for a new copy! How crazy is that?!?! Used copies were selling for $24.95 plus shipping… I have enjoyed several of the new movies, but am already tired of seeing them over and over this year!

  • Marie says:

I have waited all year to see the Hallmark Christmas movies and I am so disappointed that many of the older movies are only being shown on the other Hallmark channel. I have Time Warner cable as my cable provider and I do have the other Hallmark channel; however, I am not able to get my remote control to 629. Why can’t the older good Christmas movies be shown on the Hallmark channel? The same new movies are constantly shown. It is disappointing and frustrating.

I guess I will have to see if these movies appear on another channel.

    • Johanna says:

I AGREE with you 100%! Sadly I am in the same boat with remote not going that high on my tv. Oh well, I am watching movies I have already on DVD or VHS.

    • LuvChristmas says:

I have Time Warner cable, and my remote goes to 629 and beyond (and my TV is really old). I have a newer remote control.

Time Warner will usually give customers a free new remote if they stop in at one of their stores and bring in the old remote. That’s what I did last year. Then you just program the remote to scan all the channels (Time Warner will help you with that, over the phone, if necessary).

  • Sandy says:

I LOVE Christmas and Christmas movies. It’s probably too much to hope for, but I would love to see a couple of old movies I haven’t seen for years – “If You Believe” and “Christmas Eve” aka “The Christmas Dove” with Loretta Young! They have totally disappeared!

  • Beverly Bachara says:

We are glued to both hallmark channels daily. My mom is 90. And has dementia and loves watching.
I love the movie “Catch A Christmas Star’. Shannon is no doubt an amazing Actress. Please show that movie more than just twice in December. And the timing is awful….2/4pm. How about 7/8/9. It’s a great movie. I will buy it as soon as I can afford. Otherwise, some of the repeats are great some not so much. But hey we love you Hallmark. .you are the only reason I buy cable. Bc they Suck.
    Merry Christmas. Bb

  • Sandra says:

So very disappointed to see that A Christmas Visitor will apparently be airing on Hallmark Movies…in another more expensive package with my satellite provider. My very favorite Christmas movie ever. Guess I will just by the DVD…that makes more sense than upping my monthly satellite bill.

  • Linda says:

I’m a faithful Hallmark Christmas movie watcher. Please consider moving The Christmas Card back into the line up. You have run several movies numerous times. Please consider this movie it’s one of the great ones.

  • Judy O says:

It is very disturbing that Hallmark wants to put the best shows on a channel that you have to pay for. We also have to pay for all other cable channels monthly. Its a shame that Hallmark don’t care about the loyal partners. The Christmas card is the best show that Hallmark has.

  • Anonymous says:

the movies you show on hallmark are great. there is times you show a movie then show it again and again every other movie. there are movies that you dont show often or you only show them mid morning. For example eve’s christmas.

  • mike says:

i’ve been watching your movies for sevaral years and usually like them very much. why do you always , at xmas, do you have to a ” flaming fag in the xmas movies????????

  • Dolores Bertrand says:

I’ve searched everywhere for a DVD of “The Christmas Shepherd” starring Teri Polo and it’s not to be found. Does it exist of DVDs? If not, why not. OR – If not now, WHEN? Good decent family movies are almost nonexistent anymore and I like to add to my DVD library the ones that are family friendly and “The Christmas Shepherd” definitely qualifies. My 13 y/o granddaughter would love it.

    • Mrs. Claus says:

Hallmark does not usually release new movies until the following season (not all new movies get released on DVD) so if they do release it, it would be available sometime in October 2015.

  • ShirleyC says:

I am disappointed that “The Christmas Visitor” with William Devane & Meredith Baxter is not being shown. This is a wonderfully, uplifting movie especially if someone has lost a child.

  • Karen says:

Sad , not seeing The Christmas Card, Christmas Chorus and cant even remember the one about the special boy taking home the dog from shelter. Only seen it one time but was looking forward to seeing it again then finding out the title . Im missing the favorites … But i sure do love the Nine lives of Christmas may be my all time favorite but its right up there with Christmas Card 🙂 <3 the Hallmark Channel <3

  • Diane says:

Wow, can you keep playing the same movies over and over anymore???? with all the Christmas movies that have been made over the years, why repeat the same movies over and over and over again? Who ever does the movie scheduling, is an idiot! People like variety not the same dozen or so movies over a 2 month period.

  • Terri says:

I love all the Christmas movies that come on and we can watch the Godlen Girls and other programming the rest of the year. Thank you for thinking of us die hard fans of Christmas and especially love Eve’s Christmas except I work all the time and wish it had a 6:00 p.m or 8:00 pm showing so I can thoroughly enjoy it with my eyes wide open!! I appreciate all you do for us by showing these wonderful classics as well as the newer one. I love a Princess for Christmas

  • LuvChristmas says:

It seems that some folks have apparently not yet realized that this page/website is NOT Hallmark’s page/website, and is not affiliated with Hallmark in any way, nor does this website have anything to do with Hallmark’s programming choices.

  • Linda says:

I agree with other viewers, way too many Christmas movies. I have enjoyed the variety of shows on this channel for many years. Will be taking Hallmark off my list and probably won’t come back in the future.

  • Jackie Graves says:

Please include in your holiday schedule “The Christmas List” with Mimi Rogers and Thomas Kincade Christmas Cottage!!!!! These are favorites of ours and they have not been shown in a long time! I know many others I have seen on posts requesting these two movies also. They have been on in the past. PLEASE bring them back!!!!!

  • barbara says:

I have boycotted Hallmark channel until you bring back Lucy and the Golden Girls! You cannot keep doing this. It is too much. Listen to your viewers!

  • Doris says:

I am always happy to view a Christmas movie but this 24/7 thing is way overboard. This takes so much away from the season when you have these movies on for over 2 months.

  • Joyce says:

I am very disappointed to not see The Christmas Card scheduled for the Hallmark Channel this year. That’s a shame. It’s become a favorite with our family & one we look forward to each year. Maybe you should not run movies over & over throughout the holiday season that people get tired of & instead mix it up a bit – with timeless classics such as The Christmas Card. Please reconsider…

  • keisha says:

I absolutely LOVE the Countdown to Christmas movie! ya’ll do a great job…keep it up! two more movies ya’ll should show is “Eloise at Christmas time” and “Elf”. those are also good. I ALWAYS look so forward to this time of year. and starting them oct. 31st is a GREAT IDEA!!!! love it!!!! thank you!

  • Carol says:

Every year I really look foward to the Hallmark movie Eloise at Christmas (at the Plaza). Some of the Christmas broadcasts are overdone this year and this was was not even scheduled. Why isn’t it scheduled this year?

  • Michelle says:

I love watching Christmas movies on Hallmark but some of my favorites are missing like November Christmas, A Dog Named Christmas and a The a Christmas Card. Why are they missing?

  • irene says:

the hallmark starts their Christmas stuff too early. by the time it actually gets here, a bunch of us are totally burnt with the season and the hallmark channel.

    • Lisa says:

I agree I love Christmas & Christmas movies but when you start them on Nov.1st it’s way to much by December 1st your sick of them. It’s not even winter yet & we haven’t even had Thanksgiving. We go from Halloween right into Christmas. To early. Hallmark should wait till at least Dec. 1st before the start the 24/7 Christmas movies. & radio stations should not begin the on going Christmas songs that early to long a season.

  • We would enjoy your Christmas movies, but your background music, which doesn’t seem necessary, drowns out the voices of the actors. We have a new HD TV but were told by the tech that is not the problem.

  • Marie. Christopher says:

I am very disappointed that you are not showing the following Christmas movies this year:

    The Christmas Card
    The Woshing Tree
    Silver Bells

I also would like to tell you how annoying your loud music is when you are trying to hear what people are saying in the movie.

  • Anonymous says:

Is Home by Christmas with Linda Hamilton and Rod Stewart playing soon.. Love the Hallmark channel I watch it all the time!!

  • Marie says:

My favorite Christmas movie is The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. I notice a lot of times it is on at hours when most people are asleep. Next year could you please play it more often and at more reasonable hours. Thanks for all your Christmas movies. They are wonderful!!!

  • betty says:

why are your xmas movies on 254/7 and no mysteries? I like your movies, but no mysteries upsets me.

  • Johanna says:

Enjoy the Holidays a little bit more with Christmas Movies on Hallmark. I only disagree with the decision to show them in November instead of December.

    • betty says:

I don’t know why 24/7 xmas movies, and the mysteries are not even on. although your movies are great, I enjoy the mysteries so much more. I can’t understand why you don’t play the mysteries at all!!!!!

  • Bunny says:

I am disappointed they are not showing Finding Mrs. Claus, I only saw it once last year and thought it was very cute. Oh well guess I will pay the 1.99 to watch it through one of the places online that offers it.

  • Denise says:

I have asked several times about an older Christmas movie, starring Patty Duke, set in the Depression.. I don’t remember the name, but she makes deals with people in the town for the ingredients to make her fruitcakes…..This movie has not been on for several years… why??? You show several movies over and over, why not show all your movies at least once during this holiday season ???

  • Gretchen Leisen says:

I am disappointed that one of my favorite newer movies is mostly showing after midnight – “Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade”. It is a delightful movie and a good one for Thanksgiving week, yet it is not on the schedule during prime time that entire week. In fact, I do not see it in prime time anytime this season.

  • Jamie says:

Are you going to play LOVES LONG JOURNEY?¿

  • I consider the two Hallmark channels that we have on Direct TV to be the very best channels to watch on TV today. We certainly enjoy every year the Christmas Movies that lead up to Christmas. We watch Hallmark TV year around. Our opinion of the shows currently on TV are really not worth wasting our time on watching. So we really hope that Hallmarrk will continue to provide decent entertainment year around. Thank You for the inspiring programs that I am sure brings hope and comfort to so many that watch

  • Patty says:

Love, love, love all the Christmas Movies…. so touching… the cowboy in the “Manhatan” movie is terrific… his voice so adorable to listen to. Have him do more movies where he sings…. Love all of the movies… keep them coming

  • Michele says:

I love Hallmark Christmas movies, I even watch in July! would love to see American Christmas carol with Henry Winkler on your list along with Santa clause the movie, Santa Baby and Snow. Part 1& 2 of both. Thanks, I love Christmas time on Hallmark!

  • marvin says:

please tell me you will be running the waltons homecoming christmas special….really enjoyed watching it last year….has always been a favorite!

  • I love your station. I looked forward to watching your murder she wrote, matlock perry mason each day, now you’ve taken every spare minute with xmas movies. enough is enough!!!!!!! why can’t you spread out the viewing and have some mysteries put in, 2 months oof xmas movies stinks!!!

  • ValHedges says:

    No NOVEMBER CHRISTMAS????? Disappointed!

  • Johanna says:

I would like to see Ms. Scrooge, The Night They Saved Christmas and Beauty& The Beast: An Enchanted Christmas. I’ve got the first 2 on VHS and would like to get them ALL on DVR. One can only hope this will get done.

  • Diane says:

Please don’t forget a Christmas visitor ,it is a family favorite we look forward to each year.

    Thank you

  • Laura says:

I love to watch the movies on Hallmark Chanel and have been looking forward to the count down to Christmas. BUT tonight’s presentation of One Starry Christmas was a real disappointment. The story line was fine, a little corney but passable. The actors that played the two “cowboys” were an insult to the hard working men in the livestock industry and the men that participate in rodeo events. I hope the rest of Hallmark’s 2014 presentations are a great deal better.

  • Sharon says:

i am very disappointed again this year that you will not be airing “A Grandpa for Christmas”. That movie was excellent and because there is no romance or so called magic to it, your channel refuses to air it. I got so I didn’t watch the movies the last 2 or 3 years.

  • Ann says:

Found out it’s All I Want for Christmas. It’s the 1991 version.
There are other versions but they are different.

  • Ann says:

I saw a Christmas movie last year but do not remember the name. I would like to see it again. I am going to describe it and hopefully someone can help. The setting was a up scaled apartment/house in downtown. There was a big brother and little sister. They were living with their mom in their grandmas downtown suite. They obviously had money. The mom and dad were divorced and mom was dating another man. The little sister had to get to Santa Claus to ask him to get her mom and dad back together. The story is how the kids try to get them back together which included kidnapping their moms boyfriend and then getting their mom to come to the dad’s diner…just so they can see each other and talk.
Does anyone know the name of this movie? It really is cute. Thanks.

  • Barb says:

My familys all time favorite is the Christmas Card , why is that not being shown this year ?!?!?!

  • LuvChristmas says:

Don’t forget to add “One Christmas Eve” to the list — the new Hallmark Hall of Fame movie with Anne Heche that debuts on Hallmark on Saturday, November 30th. It will be one of at least 3 animal-focused Christmas movies debuting on Hallmark this year (the other two being “The Nine Lives of Christmas” and “The Christmas Shepherd”).

This year I am going to keep track as best I can (for my own reference) of exactly how many times each movie is repeated, and how far apart the repeats are. I know that the schedule can change mid-stream, as the Countdown is already underway, and the movies that are scheduled to air may not air. But I am curious to see exactly how often each movie repeats — particularly because soooooo many people complain about the number of repeats.

Given the number of holiday movies that Hallmark has made over the years, and taking into consideration the fact that Hallmark probably gains brand new viewers each holiday season (as well as all of the returning viewers), I have no problem with the repeats and I see why they are necessary. They don’t bother me. But I am curious to see if the movies are repeated as often as people think they are, or if it just ‘seems’ that way.

  • Darlene says:

Are you going to play the Christmas Card 2014. My all time favorite movie.

  • Rosa says:

I have not seen “The Wishing Tree” with Jason Gedrick. I hope you will be airing it, and please not at 3am. I love the Hallmark channel. It wouldn’t be christmas without it. Thank you very much.

  • cindy says:

I think you should take a poll (a legitimate one) as to who would like two months, non-stop Xmas movies to replace the regular sitcoms, The Golden Girls and Frasier. Xmas is great . . . I love it, but find these movies so very boring. Why not play a few choice Xmas movies the week before, and after Xmas and then let it be! Let the people decide what they want to watch. Give us a choice!
I for one will not be watching all of these Xmas movies. The music is the same in all of them by the way. 🙁

  • doris stradling says:

I’ve seen about enough of Christman Carol and Once Upon A Christmas, Twice Upon a Christmas. What ever happened to the Time Piece and Grandpa for Christmas

I am a Christmas movie fan. That’s my favorite time of the year. I am looking for a Christmas movie that I don’t know the name of but this guy in the movie makes these wooden ornaments I think it’s wooden and sells them to help save a company or something like that. Can someone help me? Please I want to buy the movie if I can. Thanks so much for all the Christmas movies that you show.
    Leigh Howard

  • Bernadette Foster says:

Am looking forward to Signed,Sealed,Delivered Christmas Special. Please tell me the show has been renewed for another season.

  • Jason says:

four I would love to see not listed are the two christmas in cannon movies November christmas and a smokey mountain christmas

  • Anita says:

I hope you play the movies The Christmas Gift with John Denver and The Christmas Box with Richard Thomas. They are two of my favorite Christmas movies. I so enjoy all the Christmas movies and music at the holidays. Merry Christmas to all.

  • Carolyn says:

I will really miss all wonderful holiday movies on Hallmark Chanel this year as your channel is not available to me through ATT Universe. I was so hoping your talks would turn out my way but they haven’t. Thank you for making my holidays that much better with you movies. I will miss them!

    • Mrs. Claus says:

Carolyn and others… AT&T is bringing back Hallmark and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Hallmark Channel will be on channels 365 and 1365 in HD in the U-family and U200 and above packages. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will be on Channels 366 and 1366 in HD in the U-family and U300 and above packages.

  • Micki says:

I can’t wait for Holiday Christmas movies! Thank you Hallmark! I only wish that you give us until New Year’s Day and show during lunch hour each week day. Your Home Show is scheduled and I won’t be able to watch anything at work the whole season. But I’m glad y’all do this so THANK YOU. And Merry Christmas

  • I would love to see A Holiday to remember, with Randy Travis. It hasn’t been on for a few years.

  • LuvChristmas says:

I may have miscounted, but I think I tallied about 56 movies (including the brand new ones) on the schedule so far, give or take a few! I’m sure that other titles will pop up in the remaining days of the Countdown. (And there are something like 43 or 48 holiday movies schedule to air on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, from what their video promo stated.) For those who complain that Hallmark shows the “same 5 movies over and over again,” they are way off base in their calculations and must not even be watching any of them to come to that conclusion. There are a lot of movies to run between the 2 channels.

Mrs. Claus — Thank you for keeping up with the schedule (even though it is likely to change, given Hallmark’s habit of changing their schedules after they have already been posted somewhere!), and keeping us all informed. I am sooooooo excited to see what is already lined up to air — all of my favorites are on the list so far, and I’m sure they will pop up again before the Countdown is over.

I think that Hallmark posted on its Facebook page a while back that the new Anne Heche Hall of Fame movie — “One Christmas Eve” — will air on 11/30 on the Hallmark Channel. So that’s one more new movie for us!

I am crossing my fingers that the schedule is not going to be changed again (“The Christmas Shepherd” was originally supposed to air on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and “Signed, Sealed & Delivered Christmas” was supposed to air on the regular Hallmark Channel, but now those movies have been switched around to the opposite channels!).

More importantly, I am reallllllllly hoping that Hallmark doesn’t do what it did with their Christmas in July event — offer a reduced/limited holiday movie schedule to some of us, and offer a more extensive schedule to other markets/cable providers! I don’t want to be short-changed again. I want the full array of Hallmark holiday movies, old and new!

Finally… I wonder if this season’s collection of holiday movies is going to end after New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, 12/31/14), or if it will continue on through New Year’s Day and the following weekend. On my cable line-up the movies ended immediately after 12/31/13 during this past season, but in the previous year’s Countdown they ended well past 12/31/12 — it was more like after 1/6/13 when the final movie aired!

    • Mrs. Claus says:

Thank you, I try to keep it updated 🙂 The networks change it so often it’s hard to keep up. I’m always hesitant to post what I have too far in advance.

I sure hope they go longer this year too, like they did prior to last year. It’s nice to see a few more movies after the other networks have quit.

  • Jess says:

Are you serious? Christmas 24/hrs/day for 2-1/2 months? I agree with the other posts about too much nauseatingly sweet Christmas movies for too long. I won’t be watching any of them because the movies feature “actors” no one has ever heard of and the theme of each movie is so disgustingly insipid it makes me physically ill to think about it. How did you get sponsors for this debacle? Well, you can tell your sponsors that you just lost a viewer because you can count Hallmark Channel off my list of channels to watch in the future. Obviously not that you care, but you have lost me as a viewer forever!

  • jim chapman says:

will you please include the following movies
    1ulimate gigt
    2christmas card
    3if at all possible thanks

  • Ann says:

I’m disappointed. Just checked the schedule and CHRISTMAS CARD was not listed. That has to be a big disappointment.

    • Mrs. Claus says:

Hi Ann, I think The Christmas Card will be airing on the Hallmark Movie Channel this year. This is a different channel than the regular Hallmark Channel.

  • Ppatricia says:

I will have to turn off the Hallmark channel until after January. How sad!!!

  • Anna says:

    Please show The Christmas List.

  • Lisa says:

My daughter and i just love the countdown to Christmas movies. We have so many favorites and look forward to the list to be sure we see them all. The only complaint we have is that there are so many wonderful older Christmas movies that are never played and the same newer ones seem to be played over and over again. Some great ones are “One Special NIght”
One Magic Christmas, even some of the classics like a A Christmas Carol w/ George C. Scott or A Miracle on 34th Street. Please dig deep in the archives and see if we can get more of a variety. Just love your channel!!!

  • Cheri says:

I can’t wait to start watching the Holiday Movies. The list looks great so far and am excited to see the new movies coming out. I would like to see “The Night they saved Christmas”, “Ms. Scrooge” and “It’ happened Once Christmas” make the line up this year. Haven’t seen them in a long time.

  • Rosalie says:

if I had my way, the hallmark movie channel would be nothing but movies. I get real tired of all those filler series that are on like Fraser and Golden Girls they’re just reruns. I’d rather have movie rerun than anything else.I can hardly wait until the holiday movies begin. I wish it was earlier than November the first. And bring such a warm feeling to our family

  • peggy j says:

Please play Undercover Christmas this year. Love it!!! Thank you!

  • Sue says:

Please, please, please don’t play Christmas movies for almost two months like you did last year. I thought I would scream. This is such a great channel, but not all Christmas for soooo long. I love Christmas, but starting a couple weeks before Christmas is plenty. I and my friends have to go to network tv in the evenings.

  • I and my family love the Hallmark channel movies all year around but really, really enjoy the Christmas &Thanksgiving holiday movies. Please never quit having the Hallmark Movie channel. It is the best for families and those like me who love a good movie. Also Home and Family is excellent.

  • Tina says:

Hi!! Love the Christmas movies. Do you know by any chance when or if Matchmaker Santa and Our First Christmas will ever come out on DVD?? I love watching Christmas movies throughout the year and would love to add them to my collection. They seem to bring ones out that I don’t like as much. Why?? Please let me know. Thank you!!

  • Patti Setzler says:

I was so thrilled wuth the Christmas in July programing. I don’t care what time of year it is this brings me such joy. Thank you so Much for doing this. Looking forward to the upcoming season.

  • margo helms says:

love the Christmas movies…all of them…czn’t wait for Oct. 31…love this channel..keep up the good work comercials and all..watched all week this July on taped movies..couldn’t wait to get home to watch

  • Annie says:

I was so upset that I missed “The Christmas Card”. 🙁 and I am very sorry that my week long Christmas in July is over too. Can’t wait to see when the line up for 2014 come out. Does anyone know? It would be nice if they sold a collection of all the shows. Good Job Hallmark for keeping the spirit around. I personally love the July and count down and trust me I will be counting down come October 31st.

  • carolyn smith says:

    Some of the newer movies…

  • cobhie says:

Is everyone at Hallmark on vacation? ??? Why are they showing complete reruns from christmas time including the commercials? ?? Is Over thing to show Christmas movies in July, but seems like they just put in a reel/disc or whatever from November 2013??? I luv Christmas movies but this is kinda screwy

  • Debbie says:

I love The Christmas Card. I don’t see it listed. Is it going to be shown?

    • Mrs. Claus says:

Hi Debbie, The Christmas Card is going to be shown on the Hallmark Movie Channel which is different from the regular Hallmark Channel.

  • Debbie says:

I love The Christmas Card. I don’t see it listed for July. Is it going to be shown?

  • denise says:

Catch a Christmas Star is my new all time favorite. I really hope it comes

I wish that it was time now they have the best shows I know that it is only may but I am still ready!

yes !! i want the golden girls back k watch them every night at 10 i this christmas stuff is now on my nerves cause christmas is OVER!!

  • llc says:

Is there a music soundtrack available for the movie To Catch a Christmas Star?

  • DG says:

Yes – one of the ALL-TIME best Christmas Movies “The Christmas Shoes” – and you are not showing it??? What’s up with that??? OMG!

  • Cici says:

What happened to A Dog Named Christmas. It was one of the best movies. Haven’t seen this year. Instead of replaying all the other Christmas movies over and over again, you have a great movie shut away and it is a good one. Up date your schedule and insert A Dog Named Christmas! What a unique and cost effective way to “shake things up” a bit.

  • Beth says:

Thank you for showing such a good variety of favorites this year. I have a few requests if possible. Borrowed Hearts, Christmas List, Christmas Shoes and the original Miracle on 34th Street. I know that all of these may not be yours but I thought I’d ask just in case.

  • Suki says:

I would like to know why Hallmark is not showing The Christmas Shoes. That is one of my favorite made for T.V. movies.

  • Deb says:

Why aren’t any of the stations showing Borrowed Hearts? I love that movie. I bought it a few years ago but someone stole it.

I so love the Hallmark Channel especially at Christmas time. I moved this year and unfortunately, the new plan I subscribed to assured me they offered the Hallmark channel, but after installation and later calling them as I did not see it on my directory as part of my package, I was informed they ended their contract over three years ago. I was sick and so disappointed as the stations I currently have do not even compare to the Hallmark Channel. I am so tempted, against my spouses discouragement, to pay the $150 cancellation fee and re-subscribe to another provider that carries the Hallmark Channel. I feel lost and sad and the holidays will not be the same without you. My favorite movies are “Love At the Thanksgiving Day Parade” which was showing on my moving day and I missed, “Matchmaker Santa” and “Finding a boyfriend for Christmas”. Of course there are a million others. I just want to say thank you for making Christmas magical and keep making the wonderful line up of warm, wholesome Christmas movies many of us enjoy sharing with friends, family and love ones.

When will 2013 Christmas movies be availabke for purchase on Dvd ????(example would be.Hat off for Christmas..)

      • Mrs. Claus says:

@ld – Hallmark typically puts out new releases around September/October. Not every new movie makes it to DVD right away though. We will start listing new releases as they come out under “NEW TO DVD” in the top menu 🙂

        • Audrey says:

I am hoping ‘Snow Bride’ and ‘Let it Snow’ both go to DVD soon……I;ve been waiting since they aired on TV during the 2013 Christmas lineup! Any idea when they will be released to purchase on DVD? Many thanks! By the way, I watch Christmas movies ALL YEAR LONG!!!!

  • Eva says:

Each year around this time (November), I can hardly wait until the Hallmark (and Lifetime) original Christmas movies show. It makes my heart sing. These movies are so heartwarming and really puts you in the holiday mood. I have become a Hallmark Channel “junkie” — I’m hooked. Hallmark (and Lifetime), keep on bringing us those original movies (any time of the year).

  • JJaaJJ says:

I’M SO SICK OF ALL THESE CHRISTMAS SHOWS!! I can barely fall asleep at night because Frazier and The Golden Girls aren’t on. Guess that’s why you don’t allow yourself to get dependent on something. Christmas shows DON’T have to be 24 hours a day! Ain’t that much Christmas in the whole world!! There aren’t any kids up at 10:00 watching xmas movies.

  • Cindy Lewis says:

I s there anyway that u could play “Christmas Shoes”? Love that movie!

  • deb says:

wish you play some of the older favorites more like The Ultimate Gift the Three Gifts, Seasons of Miracles, November Christmas, When angels come to town. If they do play them how about not at 2 or 4 AM I could to stand a few of the ones they play repeatedly during waking hours. I really like A christmas card, The Visitor, Fallen Angel (I think), and the Debbie Malcombers, Santa Suit, and of course Eloise. Also the once upon Christmas’s.

  • Carol says:

Thanks for providing the wonderful holiday movies. I was hoping that a movie which Angela Landsbury starred in as Mrs. Clause would be in your line up this year. I believe it first aired on TV in the early 1990s, but I do recall that it is Hallmark movie with the simple title, Mrs. Clause. Any chance it will be on the air soon?

    • Mrs. Claus says:

Hi Carol, Mrs. Santa Claus with Angela Lansbury has aired this week on the Hallmark Movie Channel. It is scheduled to air again tomorrow (Thursday November 14th) on HMC.

  • Cass says:

Please do not play Christmas movies all day long.
I enjoy the late night line up with golden girls and Frasier
Can you play holiday movies on the hallmark movie channel for those that want to watch Christmas movies all day long for the next 3 months? Then the rest of us can watch the usual line up. Thank you

  • Brett says:

Where Is the Movie The Town That Christmas Forgot? That was a Great Movie.

  • Natalie says:

I love all the Christmas movies but with dvr its not necessary to repeat movies over and over again,it drives me nuts, some sort of break from Christmas movies would be nice as well. Is anyone going to be showing A Smokey Mountain Christmas? I love Single Santa and Meet the Santas it would be nice if they were shown together or at least in order..Meet the Santas has already been before Single Santa geeze.

    • Eva says:

I’m so glad that a movie airs more than once, because other channels (such as Lifetime) are airing Christmas movies the same time as some of the Hallmark movies. This gives me an opportunity to catch them all.

  • Carol says:

Please put on the movie -Christmas Shoes-.

  • Pamela says:

I was looking at your schedule and I don’t see some of the older Christmas Movies like I’ll be home for Christmas. or A Holiday Romance or A dog named Christmas I see you have Fallen Angel on at 2 am only on one day a lot of us like those older movies too and I feel you should make room for them in your Christmas Movie schedule Sincerely

  • Desiree says:

Has hallmark consider to make a collection of DVD Christmas movies? That is for each year collections? My family of 6 which includes 16yr, 14yr, 12yr, and a 5yr old just love your movies. So do I and my husband. The movies are so wholesome and have great lessons. Thanks to all the Hallmark family for bringing in so great actors from the big screen.

  • Brenda says:

I look forward to Hallmark Christmas movies every season. I truly wish you would air “A grandpa for Christmas” I love that movie!

  • B. Hall says:

The Hallmark Channel is my favorite channel. If I could it would
be my only channel. The movies are clean family entertainment.
The Hallmark movies are like a warm blanket on a cold night.
This will be my first holiday all alone. Watching these Christmas
movies will be like having my family. I love all Hallmark movies.

I DON’T agree with Jill. Sorry that it’s ruining your morning routine, but my holiday season would be impacted and less festive without this movie event. I don’t care if Hallmark wants to make money. Let them. I’m just interested in the movies.

  • Betty Miller says:

I could not wait until the Hallmark count down till Christmas started. I started watching them early Saturday morning and will be watching them all week. I just love these movies. The Christmas Card is my favorite.

  • salome says:

I so love the hallmark channel Christmas skedule…thanks for doing it big each year …just by looking at the movies brings the sprit of Xmas in my home….my fav is…a princess for Xmas and its the.most wonderful time of the year ….

Why doesn’t the christmas shoes air anymore?

  • Sheri says:

So glad to see this is back. I love the holiday’s. I do hope that Hallmark continues the holiday programs through January as in the past.

  • Nancy Ewell says:

Last year I missed several Hallmark Christmas movies because I didn’t realize they started the first of November, boy, was I sad!
But this year I’m ready!! Can’t wait for all the wonderful Christmas love stories. The Christmas Card is one of my favorites.

Thanks for making the Christmas season movies the icing on the cake!!

  • Vickey Pitts says:

Love the Christmas movies….makes my holiday!!!! Love The Christmas Card…There was a movie called Christmas in my Hometown??? Never see that one anymore????

    • Debi Miller says:

The movie is most often shown under the title of Holiday for Love. Don’t know why they change the titles or why they make new movies with the same titles of older movies. Gets confusing.

  • Tara says:

Whatever happened to that Christmas in Canaan movie? I like all of your older Christmas movies better than the new ones from this year.

P.S. Does anyone know where I can watch the old Christmas movie called The Christmas List? I can’t find it anywhere and no one ever shows it anymore. It was a great movie.

    • Mrs. Claus says:

Tara – The Christmas List was aired a few times during he month of December on ABC Family. Hopefully they air it again next year 🙂

  • louise says:

Are you going to repeat Love’s Christmas Journey, Part 2 any time soon? I missed Part 2 and would love to know how it ends.

  • Tara says:

I really really hate that the only times you play The Santa Suit are at 2am and 6am! PLEASE show it at a time I’ll actually be awake! It’s definitely one of your better ones. There are others you show over and over and over again that aren’t nearly as good. (except Moonlight and Mistletoe, you’re allowed to show that one over and over again because it’s great and I never get tired of it) You really should have more of these available for purchase. Thanks!

  • Vegac says:

I just love all these Christmas movies and I would love to see them all on DVD!

  • cindi says:

Is Christmas in Canaan going to be on anytime soon?

  • Diane says:

I love the Hallmark movies. However, since I am now wearing hearing aids I have difficulty hearing the dialogue because the background music is so loud. My hearing aids have several settings so I can block out background sounds, but this doesn’t work to block out mechanical noise. Does anyone else have this problem? I wonder if there is a way to let the producers know that the background noise can be distracting to some.

  • Elaine says:

Please give me Perry Mason in the afternoon as a break from some
of the movies.I like the movies too. But sometimes enough is enough.

  • Pj says:

Do you know if Hallmark will be showing An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving? I love that movie. It was on several times last year. Thank You.

  • susan M. says:

What about A Family Thankgiving on 11/13 Tuesday at 2:00p.m. on HALLHD(1122)….

  • joyce sells says:

I cant wait every year for the christmas movies to come on. I noticed three of my favorite movies wasnt included yet in the schelude when angels come to town and eloise movies and the music box . I Would appreciate it if you could include these favorites a few times to accommate my work schelude.Thank you so much love the hallmark chanel all year long. A devoted watcher

  • Penny O'Donnell says:

P.S. Julie Andrews is in the movie that I mentioned.

  • Penny O'Donnell says:

I love the Christmas movies. I hope to see the one about the little girl who lives in a hotel and “fixes” everything. Can’t remember the name, but it was so cute.”A Princess For Christmas” is one of my favorites. Thank-you!

  • Debra Sammons says:

Would love to see the old Christmas Movies: The Bishop’s Wife, A BoyFriend For Christmas, Prancer, Jack Frost, i love Hallmark and can’t wait for the Christmas Movies to begin.

    • Mrs. Claus says:

Hi Debra – I know The Bishop’s Wife will air this season on TCM (Turner Classic Movies), and ABC Family will be playing Jack Frost. We will let you know about the others as soon as we know if they will be on TV this year 🙂

  • Nicole K says:

I LOVE watching christmas movies and I hope Hallmark ads some older movies to the line up that I love like:
    the night they saved christmas
    santa clause
    ernest saves christmas
    christmas every day

  • Vanessa P says:

My favorite Cgristmas movies are Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus and Meet the Santas. Please add them to the Christmas movie line-up.

    • Jeane Wesley says:

I also wait for Christmas movies each year. I like all the movies scheduled this year but really miss the fact that ” A Christmas Card” is not scheduled this year.

      • Mrs. Claus says:

Hi Jeane, The Christmas Card is showing on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel this year. This is not the same as the regular Hallmark Channel, you will need to check with your cable provider to see if you have it: http://www.countdownuntilchristmas.com/channel/hallmark-movie-channel/

        • Joyce says:

I am totally disappointed the The Christmas Card will not be shown on The Hallmark Channel this year! Instead of playing the same movies over & over, why not show some movies that are peoples favorites every holiday season? The Christmas Card has become a family tradition in our house – we will definitely miss it this year! Whomever does your scheduling stinks! Wishing you would reconsider!

          • Mrs. Claus says:

Hi Joyce, we agree 100% with you. Not sure why they decided to show The Christmas Card (and many others) only on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. I guess it’s a good way to try and get viewers to subscribe to both of their channels.

          • Becky says:

Agree. Whom ever does the scheduling needs to offer better movies. We love the Hallmark channel and the good movies. Let people vote on their favorites.

        • Steven says:

I, like so many others, am disappointed that The Christmas Card is not being shown on the regular Hallmark Channel this year. And I will not subscribe to another channel to see it. Regardless of the reasons, they all stink.

        • Jennifer says:

The Christmas card is also showing on Hallmark Channel subscribed live streaming. It started out as a Christmas in July movie but has now been placed in another favorite movies category. Hoping that means it will remain on the site after the 12th. I love the live streaming because it is a steal at the advertised price and I can see some of my favorites as often as I like. I am hoping the site will expand upon the holiday movie category or preferably offer another subscription entirely for the Movies and Mysteries Channel. I love the older holiday movies that are no longer on the Hallmark Channel.

        • Anonymous says:

Hallmark has enough Christmas movies that it shouldn’t have to replay the same ones over and over. Play all of them! And don’t divid the channels. I can’t get the mystery channel. The satellite can’t pick it up at my house! I love Hallmark and Christmas!

          • Luv Christmas says:

Hallmark has to break up programming and divide the shows between channels. They need shows/movies to put on the Movies & Mysteries Channel. They need to bring people to that channel. They can’t keep everything on the regular Hallmark Channel just because some people don’t get the other channel.

Also, I love the repeats of the “same ones over and over.” Chances are, not all of us are home at the exact same times of the day to watch movies, and we have different schedules. The repeats are necessary — especially in a really long marathon, when people will be tuning in and out, off and on, over the course of 2 months. It’s not that Hallmark doesn’t have enough movies — the point IS to repeat them for people who enter into the marathons at different points.

Unfortunately, the Christmas in July marathon (on the regular Hallmark Channel) featured multiple repeats of only 2 or 3 movies, and everything else ran only once or twice. I had to miss some of my favorites because I wasn’t available the one and only time they showed them. That’s why the frequent repeats during the Countdown to Christmas are very helpful and necessary — they benefit everyone, so people are not forced to miss their favorites if they can’t watch them the first time they air.

      • Tess says:

I agree. The Christmas card is my very favorite. Please keep it on the schedule!!

      • Robert D. Lawrence says:

Please show “Christmas Card” again this year.

  • Patti Setzler says:

I too watch the Christmas movies as soon as they start showing them. I am so thrilled to see such a variety of movies that I had never seen or heard of. Hallmark Channel has an assortment of great movies all throughout the year. The sooner the better

  • Nancy says:

Our family loves the Christmas movies, thanks for sharing them, but hope some of the regular evening program like Fraiser, Golden Girls, etc. will still be shown. We love them, too!

Hallmark rocks for ALL of its’ programming!

  • Penny says:

Please add A Diva’s Christmas Carol tp your line up. I’ve only seen it on VH1, but it would be great to see it here also.

  • Brooke says:

I really wish that you would add the movie, One Magic Christmas, to this list! Yes, it’s an older Christmas movie but one of my favorites!!

  • Andelyn says:

I sure hope you will be playing more Christmas movies than is now showing-my family is tied to the Hallmark Channel throughout the holidays just waiting on those movies-that goes for aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins……I would hate to see only one or two Christmas movies throughout the week and less than a handful on weekends……
