i am happy anytime i can watch
I’ve checked the schedule for this year’s Christmas movies. It stinks. You were so worried about showing the new movies several times that you totally forgot about some of the great ones you’ve shown before. In case you’ve forgotten which ones I’m talking about I’ll list some for you.
1. Christmas in Vermont with the great Howard Hesseman who passed away this year.
2. A star for Christmas
3. Christmas with the Andersons
4.Christmas cruise
5. The 1st and 3rd Golden Christmas movies.
6. Christmas Truce
Now I love the ion Christmas movies and never complain about only showing on Sundays when I think it should be Saturday too. But this year you guys really dropped the ball. Very very very very very very disappointed this year. I think I’ll buy the movies next year because this year really stinks.
Not all available on dvd….(fair warning)
They are missing a lot of good Christmas movies. I wonder what there problem is. Seems like they used to show 5hem on Saturdays also.
They play those every year golden Christmas 1 through 3 and star fot Xmas I love I don’t know why I can’t get ion plus they have movies every day Xmas n Vermont was on that list
I wish I knew how to get it without having tv I get ion but ion plus is not there
I don’t even know why this channel even tries. They don’t even try! I personally enjoy Christmas movies of yesteryear. Hallmark doesn’t show them anymore, neither does fashion flashy lifetime. Anyway lifetime will remove all the Christmas movies on December 26 which is almost satanic! I’ve gotten to the point now where I just go to wherever I need to find it streaming and watch it myself and I don’t watch these channels anymore!
When will ION start showing Christmas movies? I love the movie A Prince for Christmas!!
Linda, ‘A Price for Christmas’ is one of my favorites as well. It’s one I try to watch each year.
If you have a smart TV, you might have a free service you never use called Tubi. They have some of the Ion Christmas movies, including “Prince”. You could watch it all year round.
That one is my favorite too, along w/ Beaus of Holly & The Christmas Sitters.

Love to see A Christmas Kiss! I love watching all of them.
The ones who don’t have Hallmark. If you got a smart tv and internet. Go buy yourself a firestick. You can watch most of the Hallmark movies some I can’t get. But there’s enough on there to enjoy Firestick cost about $40 but you can watch Hallmark movies for free and other movies.
Sad found out that ION will only be doing one show a day 10 – 11. It was a shock watching chicago fire when a commercial came on at 11 p.m. Central.
I wish you could add the ion channel shows to starter channel or hulu since i have hulu subscriptions i enjoy all my shows on both ion channels
I remember movies being all weekend during December and year by year there are less and less Christmas movies being shown. Is there a reason why? I know these movies are VERY popular, so why decrease their showings?
CK: Putting it mildly, I am a Christmas Movie enthusiast. I’m so serious that I do a checklist spreadsheet every year with all of the new movies across the various channels. I forgot ION this year for some reason. There are over 90 new movies combined on lifetime, hallmark channels and others. Family and friends laugh but stop laughing when they see, need or want my spreadsheet.lol If you type in 2021 new christmas movies, I believe you will find a checklist. Enjoy
I’m laughing here! I have a little notebook that I keep, I write down all the season’s Christmas movies and jot down a simple review. I try to watch every single Christmas movie across the board! Happy to see I’m not the only fanatic! I’m entering all the UP movies now. Enjoy! Our favorite time of the year.
I keep a notebook too!!!
Hello TLC, I do a spreadsheet too with all the new Christmas movies!! I actually just made an updated “Need to Still Watch Christmas 2021” with the movies from last year that I never watched yet so I don’t get them confused with the “NEW” movies!!
So glad to see that I’m not alone—-my husband laughs at my lists if he catches me updating them!
In recent years it’s been Saturdays and Sundays, plus Christmas Eve. This years it’s just Sundays, plus it looks like ION hasn’t released their schedule and we have to wait until our DVR program guides get the latest update.
With fewer showings, some of the old favorites are bound to be left out.
I am disappointed with ION’S lineup,, several of my favorites are left out. And the new ones aren’t as enjoyable. It was great when they were shown Saturday and Sunday.
Ion was sold to Scripps not too long ago. I would not be surprised if this is the last year that Ion will have any Christmas programs.
That’s so sad to hear, I lose ION occasionally and luckily I haven’t had to miss the Christmas movies, I get so excited when they come on. May have to buy them. So many of my favorites aren’t being shown this year.
I also remember them all weekend long.
Especially when some of us would like to watch the movies instead of Football
I love the movie, Prince For Christmas. Looks like I’m not going to be able to see it this year. That stinks
If you have access to Tubi, it’s on there. It comes on a number of smart TVs and on Roku. No charge, but with commercials.
‘Prince’ is one of my favorites – I watch it every year. Also ‘The Spruces and the Pines’, which is coming up this weekend.
Worth noting that the schedule shown above for 2021 isn’t complete – there are more movies coming on 12/24 and 12/25. But looks like Prince isn’t on the schedule – sorry.
It’s on December 11th, 6pm 😊
The regular ion network would just have Christmas movies on Sundays, while Ion+ showed them nearly 24/7, every day until about new years. They cancelled Ion+ earlier this year (BS) giving everyone the shaft.
2021 schedule
Sunday, Nov 21 8pm ET/PT Christmas Down Under, starring Paul O’Brien and Justine Kacir
Sunday, Nov. 28 8pm ET/PTA Christmas Witness, starring Arielle Kebbel and Colin Egglesfield
Sun Dec 5 8pm ET/PT The Christmas Thief, starring Michelle Borth and Vivica A. Fox
Saturday Dec 11 8pm ET/PT A New Lease on Christmas, starring Clair Coffee and Geoff Stults
Is the schedule up above all there is? Last year they showed them every Sunday till Christmas. I didn’t get to see all of Christmas down under and thanks to working evenings I’m not going to get to watch very many of their movies. I was hoping to maybe catch part or all of the new ones if I get lucky to have a Sunday off.
I would like ION to shows christmas movies 24/7 since Ionplustv is an longer available. I don’t get the Hallmark channels. Is there anyone else that would like to this also? Maybe if several people contact IOn television they might show movies 24/7. Let me know if there is anyone else. Sonja
I’d love it. The movies are great 👍
Yes. I am looking forward to the Christmas movies. Since ionplus is not available then ION needs to step up.
I would LOVE ION to show Christmas movies this upcoming season. I do not have cable, so I don’t get the Hallmark Channel and ION PLUS is gone. Thank you and Merry Christmas!!!!
I agree there should be Christmas movie on until day after Christmas 24/7
YES!! 24/7 holiday movies. Christmas comes once a year…let’s enjoy it!!
I enjoy the Christmas movies, but ION’s catalog is too small to show them every day without showing all of them over and over again.
I would be happy if they’d at least return to Saturday and Sunday like they’ve done the past few years. Some of the favorites aren’t going to make the lineup this year.
Movies: I am 87 , a veteran, and paralyzed. I watch and enjoy your movies, Can you schedule two Two Paul Neman movis “The Young Philadelphians” and the
“Verdict”? Many thanks.
