Movie Summary

After Emma finds her college boyfriend’s engraved watch at a vintage jewelry shop, her sister Bronwyn believes it is a sign and decides to secretly play cupid by sending Emma to the same bed and breakfast in Vermont that he is staying at one week before Christmas. Emma is not only shocked to bump into her first love after all these years, but also his vivacious daughter. Throughout the week, the two fight their feelings for one another as they plan a Christmas Eve show in hopes of saving the local theater.

    And children today have it even easier: When I was a kid, if you weren’t in front of your TV at the right time and missed an airing of the Grinch , you had to wait another year before it rolled around again. Now, with the proliferation of streaming services, many of these classics are at your beck and call, waiting for you to watch them whenever you happen to be ready. Since there’s so much magic associated with Christmas, it’s no surprise that a lot of these movies are cartoons — it’s just an easy way to capture the enchantment of the holiday without relying too heavily on expensive special effects.
