White Christmas is in Spanish on my TV even though my set it programmed for English.
Why is this happening?
At this stage of my life of 82 years, I gave up begging the TV stations to play classical Christmas movies instead of the junk love stories on Hallmark channels as well as the other channels that do hit and miss movies. They show a Christmas tree and snow and decorations and call it a Christmas movie. I have collected over the years Christmas movies without the mushy love scenes. I have a total of 42 and still looking for more. Some were TV only movies that I recorded on VHS and then transferred to DVD. I am truly sorry for those of you that haven’t taken charge and purchased the movies. There is one very emotional movie starring Linda Hamilton called Silent Movie that takes place during WWII where she has both American & German soldiers at her home in the woods. A very good movie bringing two enemy groups together in peace and sharing what food stuffs they each had.

I know there are scads more comments then these supporting the movie White Christmas. My comments alone over the years are not appearing anywhere in any of these years of comments!! So if all of my comments are missing, how many other supporters of White Christmas comments are not here?! It is now 2021 and this proves that AMC doesn’t give a care what their viewers think!! They never have and never will!! So here we go again. I finally broke down and bought an Amazon Fire stick and bought White Christmas for not very much money and now I can watch it any time and and for as much as I want on my tv without fooling with AMC!! They would rather show more vulgar Christmas shows!! White Christmas is too clean cut for them, hence the early morning hours times they show it. Plus I don’t think they even read these comments. It’s a shame, White Christmas is one of the best, if not the best Christmas movies ever made!! The younger set needs to be introduced to it.
Sheree, I wholeheartedly agree with all of your comments. I have been watching White Christmas for as long as I can remember and I am 62 years old. I think that is the majority of the problem. As older adults our opinions don’t matter much anymore. This year if you want to watch it on AMC it is viewing 2 times. 3:25 am and 9:00 am. What a joke.

I agree. White Christmas is a wonderful movie. My favourite though is “Holiday Inn”. My Dad & I watched that movie together so many times, I’ve lost count. For those of you out there who don’t know., the song “White Christmas” was intended for Holiday Inn. The song in Holiday Inn called “Let’s Start the New Year Right” was to hopefully be a hit. A disc jockey at one of the radio stations decided to play
the flip-side of “Let’s Start the New Year Right”…you guessed it..the song on the flip-side was “White Christmas”. It became an instant hit!!!., & has sold millions of copies. Its’ not just gold, it’s platinum!

So, yes…”White Christmas” is a wonderful movie, but so is “Holiday Inn”

I thought it was t the onetsupposed to air at 7p.m. tonight! I’ve been up and down every channel with no luck. I may step on some toes with this, but instead of airing The Christmas Story (is that the one with the boy and his wish for a bb gun?), Can’t stand that one, TBS shows it 24 hours a day, we need more like White Christmas and the original Miracle on 34th St. Charlie Brown Christmas is a great one too and how often is That aired! Very rarely!
I am beyond upset that TCM is NOT airing White Christmas. I would hate to think that the reason they are not showing it is political. I mean it does say White Christmas not, well you know what I mean. Thanks TCM you are loosing me.
I am taking TCM off my list of movies to watch. They have been playing movies over and over. Since Robert Osborne died this station has gone to hell. They play horror movies and stuff you need the caption to watch, or there are 30 min. shorts.
FXX this is another I am removing from Direct. I don’t know why it is on plays the same movies daily…I wrote to them and told them if they want they could borrow some of mine.
Done with these two stations and removing them from the tv.

White Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie and I haven’t been able to find it on cable tv this season! This is a classic and should be shown every holiday season!

Apparently, TCM does not care about any of the White Christmas request by there watchers to play the movie and play at a suitable time! These request go all the way back to the year 2015!!!! What kind of a business would continually ignore their customers YEARS after YEARS????
Why isn’t White Christmas on Freeform it’s on at 1:15 a.m.in the morning. I would have to work 3rd shift to watch it. It’s a great Xmas show.Elf is on so many times it’s ridiculous. Miracle on 34th Street is another good Xmas show which isn’t on very often.
I know, it’s sad it’s not on during normal viewing hours. It’s ridiculous!

It would really be wonderful if TCM, starting 12/24 at midnight until Midnight 12/25, would play nothing but classic Christmas movies. All of them! White Christmas, Its a Wonderful Life, even Home Alone! Love Actually! Holiday Affair, Meet me in St Louie, Miracle on 34th St, A Christmas Story etc….
