I am shocked. My whole life, I’ve been watching classic Xmas movies on TCM. And now?? Hardly anything !! Very odd considering I had to pay $10 extra for the channel this year for the first time ever. Can someone at the station please explain this? Why in the world would you hardly show Christmas movies a week before. Tonight, is Lawrence of Arabia! You guys have got to reconsider this. I’m very upset!!

I am so disappointed yet again that you do not play the 1951 A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim – it is the best whether it is the black and white version or the colourized one. You always play the 1930’s one which is good to but not as good as the 1951 one. The bishop’s wife you played and it too is a favourite but where are the other classics like It’s a wonderful life etc. This is why I keep your channel but playing His girl friday and father of the bride at this time of year is just so wrong. Come on TCM – play the Classics.

I had to youtube A Christmas Carol this year.

Hope you listen to the customers.

I read all the comments and I totally agree. Most of us really looking forward to watching without a lot commercials.
I had to order some of the movie’s from Netflix. Cost me money. Would be possible to have TCM buy back the right’s to movie’s we love.
TCM had a special about movie’s that not playing anymore.
Thank you for reading my options. Merry Christmas

I see more TCM sponsored classic Christmas movies showing up on Xfinity and Prime for purchase – which is probably why we aren’t see as many Christmas movies on TCM each year. For example, I could watch “The Bishops Wife” for free in November and I now have to pay for it in December –and we already pay our cable companies a premium to access TCM– a lump of coal for TCM this year.

This is the first Christmas I will have TCM. I was so disappointed to see the list of movies for Christmas. My favorite movie is Holiday Inn. I wish you would show this and White Christmas, Christmas In Connecticut. So many great Christmas movies to show.

My grandchildren and I are also very disappointed. Watching your channel during Christmas always brought joy to each one of them. Not airing those Christmas classics which bring joy to all who watching is inconsiderate. For the future of this channel we believe playing the old Christmas movies would be able to bring happiness to the generations after us we must keep the tradition alive.
    Sincerely,
    Disappointed

Please play Christmas in Connecticut and Holiday Inn. We all look forward to both of those movies and don’t see them on your schedule this year.

This is a very feeble holiday classic lineup and why so many repeats?! What about Christmas in Connecticut, Miracle on 34th Street, Holiday, Remember the Night, The Man Who Came to Dinner, White Christmas, Holiday Inn, etc, etc?! Very disappointing!

Oops, I now see Holiday (9:15am on a weekday – poor programming!) and Remember the Night, so I stand corrected on those. But still, so many others that could be included.

Why is TCM not airing White Christmas this year? This is my favorite Christmas movie?

I agree. They played the movies A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and It’s a Wonderful and now it doesn’t even show them anymore. I feel the same way that alot of people are saying. It is like that on alot of channels on tv. I am so disappointed. We pay for classic movies (which they do play ) but it is not what it use to be when a holiday rolls around they use to play alot of the classic moveies of that holiday.

Maybe they’re not playing White Christmas so you will have to buy it. Then the medium will change to something else and in order to play it on your new device you’ll have to buy it again. Repeat cycle if you want to see it every year.

Frustrating when they show clips of all the great old movies but don’t actually show them on tv. Then why am I paying for cable? BTW…whatever happened to “The King and I” starting Yule Brenner and Deborah Kerr. Seems I have seen that in over 10 years.

      This line up is pathetic.
Where is “Holiday Inn”? This is the movie that was the debut of the song “White Christmas”!
      Where is “Christmas in Connecticut”?
      And a commercial-free “It’s a Wonderful Life”?
Both 19e8 and 1950 versions of “A Christmas Carol” are great, but the rest are minor films.
Whoever makes these TCM programming decisions must not be into Christmas.

        in Connecticut,in order to
watch TCM you have to pay
An additional $9.95 fee including the $25 + to view
TCM . Shame on TCM for the ridiculous lineup of movies that are being aired this holiday season. There is a reason whether it is monetary or imposed for some other reason, but “creature of the black lagoon” “Anna karena” “Imitation of Life” etc . Though great films, do not
Cut it at Christmas when the responsibility of a “Classic”
        movie channel is to show
        classic films that relate to
the holidays. The programming has changed:
        sloppy, boring, repetitive
B or C movies at best. Shame on TCM. Too much
money for so little value. For
That (those reasons) I am out!
