Just looked over the TCM “Christmas” movie list and once again am disappointed – all of the best vintage Christmas movies are not being shown – It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street with Maureen O’Hara – not the awful modern remake, A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim and Holiday Inn are our favorites – so sad! From Thanksgiving onward, TCM should have a full month of Christmas movies but the Christmas movies are just tokens – and not the best ones either. If you want to keep subscribers TCM, make some effort to create a real Christmas Countdown for next year!

Why is “Scrooge”, with Alistair Sim (1951), not on your schedule?

Probably because TMC aired about 4 Christmas movies the entire month. I have no idea what’s going on.

Why doesn’t the voice match up to the movies today. December 18. A couple of my favorites are on but turned the channel.

I am guessing many of the streaming services now own the rights to most of the Christmas classics. We watched the original “Miracle on 34th Street” on Amazon Prime (for free b/c it is included in the subscription price)
But what happened to “Since You Went Away”??
Since it begins with and ends with Christmas, TCM always aired it during the holidays.

Unfortunately, as of today, it is not scheduled to air on any channel this holiday season (2022). The version with George C Scott is my personal favorite, very disappointing.
