  • Esme St. Clare says:

The one on TCM at 10:00 is the lame Reginald Owen version. The Alistair Sim film is on FXM (FX Movie Channel) throughout the evening of Dec 23, including 10:00.

  • Marion Stevens says:

So many bad movies are shown numerous times, why can’t the best Scrooge movie ever made be shown more than once in the Christmas season??? I see it is suppose to be on Dec. 24th. Does anyone know the channel and time? I don’t want to miss it. Alastir Sim as Scrooge is classic!!!I live in Ohio so it is Eastern Standard time. thanks

  • Fran Magarelli says:

I wholeheartedly agree. No matter how many versions of this story have been made, there is no other than the original with Alistair Sim. I look forward to this movie every single Christmas. While Albert Finney and George C. Scott are amazing actors, they will never be the “REAL” Ebenezer Scrooge that Alistair Sim was.

    • Andrea Capolino says:

Will you air it again I’m so sorry I missed the best movie ever!!!

      • calvin balsam says:

Alister Sim as Scrooge is one of the most moving, touching films of all time! I have watched it every year for as long as I can remember ….. 60 years …… and I still cry every time. It’s black and white adding to the power of the heart rendering movie! Hard nosed, heartless folk might be transformed if the movie was more prominently shown preferably without out commercial interruption.

      • Christmas TV Admin says:

Andrea, unfortunately it is not scheduled to air again this year.

    • Lynn McLaughlin says:

Absolutely correct ! Best “Scrooge” movie ever ! I was born the same year it was made. My father knew the story, so we were acquainted with the book. When we first saw the movie , the whole family fell in love with it. It brought the characters to life. After that, no other version was a part of our Christmases. Some of them make Scrooge appear silly & bumbling, but this is far from the truth. He was smart, educated, aware of his surroundings. He knew how to get what he wanted even at the expense of others . He had no tolerance for the poor, & disdained those who had no employment. I could go on & on about the negatives of this man, but I”ll fast forward to his glorious redemption. God saved him from an eternity in Hell. To see how, read the book & watch Alistair Sim in the 1951 movie. You won’t regret it.
