Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas

Countdown to Christmas Schedule

From the last weekend in October until January 1st, Hallmark Channel runs the seasonal block called Countdown to Christmas, featuring a mix of holiday movies, specials and holiday-themed original programming. Countdown to Christmas officially began in 2009, while the channel’s first holiday original movie was aired in 2000. Since 2012, the network has also held a “Christmas in July” event with airings of previous movies. In February 2019, it was announced that in honor of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Countdown to Christmas event, the channel would air selections of movies on Friday nights throughout the year. “Christmas Fridays” on Hallmark is continuing in 2024.

Since Hallmark begins showing Christmas movies so early, and I love the Golden Girls from it’s beginnings, I begin recording Golden Girl episodes in August. I currently have over 170+ saved so I don’t have to go without them. Can you please advise when you cease broadcasting Golden Girls and begin showing Christmas movies? I love Hallmark and I love your Christmas movies. I just can’t go without the Golden Girls (even though I have likely seen every episode 100 times or more since the series began. I look forward to hearing from you.

        Thank you
It would be lovely to have a year round Hallmark Christmas Channel since there have been so many years of Hallmark movies for the holidays. What I would Not want to see Hallmark do is create another pay-to-see option! Most of us pay upwards of $250/300 for cable and all these “Extra” pay to view options are ridiculous services run by greed. It’s why I live without a lot of great Hallmark movies now with your own pay to view service; sad, so sad.
I would also love to see more movies with people of a certain “older”generation being featured as opposed to just the 20/30 somethings in all the new movies of late
At any rate, I am still a Hallmark fan ❤️

I love watching your Christmas shows any time. I wish you would have a Hallmark Christmas channel that would play only your Christmas shows. All of them even from years and years ago.

I have loved Hallmark for years and years. NATURAL, clean movies for the whole family.
However, I promise you this if you change the “agenda” I will never watch it again. I wont be the only one.

That is really sad. To deny love for one is to deny love for all. WWJD? HE and GOD love us all, including all our qualities, good or bad. HE And HE especially dislikes it when people judge others (that is HIS job, after all)….but HE will still love you. Just sayin’…..

Sorry Lorrie that you feel that way . I am not part of the lgbt community but maybe we need to see things their way as well. I mean seriously if you don’t want to see it then simply change the channel it’s that simple.

Being LGBT is natural, Barbs. Hallmark shows comforting, warm and cozy, schmaltzy Christmas movies that everyone can enjoy, and now with movies that have LGBT storylines, truly everyone can enjoy them, no matter who sticks what where. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it.

I like the Golden Girls when they are on before 11:00 PM CST. I’m not in to Christmas in July at all but would tolerate it for others sakes if I could have my Golden Girls to relax me for bed each night. Why can’t you compromise and do that? I find Christmas movies depressing and you play enough of them from October to January. Your schedule said Christmas stuff would be done at end of July but I’m seeing it going into August. Maybe you should just make one of your 3 channels an all year round Christmas channel so those of us who don’t need reminders that we are alone can watch things that make us laugh.

Hallmark is showing a Christmas movie every Friday evening. Check your local listings for an exact time. They are also showing Christmas movies every Thursday evening at 9:00 PM on their Movies & Mysteries channel.

Why doesn’t Hallmark ever show The Christmas Train. Had actors that were in ‘A’ movies. Was great to see them on Hallmark. In my opinion, it was a very good movie.

Hi Joanne: If you have Comcast, you can search it and play it for free to Me. You can also click on watch options and it gives you options of 2 channels to watch it on, one being Hallmark (available until 7/31/20). I love that movie as well. I even thought the commercials were heartfelt.

I am a Christmas Movie Lover. I think I watched about 80 Christmas movies last year on every channel I could find them. When I retired this year, my job gave me a blanket from Hallmark that says Hallmark Christmas Movie Watching Blanket. I hope you get to watch it.

Why don’t you show “A Bride for Christmas” more often. And not at 2:00 or 4:00 in the morning.

Trying to remember the name of the movie about two friends switch homes for Christmas. One from New York and the other is from the country. Both find love at Christmas.
    Anybody know the name?
