Classic Christmas Movies
Every November and December, Turner Classic Movies (also known as TCM) airs classic Christmas movies and other holiday related programs. Movies typically include older versions of “A Christmas Carol” along with black-and-white holiday favorites like The Bishop’s Wife, and Christmas in Connecticut.

This line up sucks! Where are the great Christmas classics, It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street?
Hi Terri,
Miracle of 34th Street will be airing on AMC this year: https://www.countdownuntilchristmas.com/amc-best-christmas-ever/
It’s a Wonderful Life is airing on USA and E! this month: https://www.countdownuntilchristmas.com/christmas-movies-a-to-z/its-a-wonderful-life/
This is TCM – we pay for this programming not to be told to find our favorite vintage Christmas movies are on other paid cable stations! This is such a disappointing Christmas lineup – I hope your management will see these comments and make the appropriate changes for your viewers for Christmas 2023!
Very disappointing schedule of Christmas movies.
Missing…
Miracle on 34th St.
It’s a Wonderful Life
White Christmas
Going My Way
Why do you keep repeating the same movies. White Christmas is one of the most popular Christmas movies ever made. The song sold more records than any other Christmas song.
Hi Mary Ann,
Going my Way will be airing on TCM December 20th at 8pm ET.
I love watching these films every December with some spiked egg nog and a mistletoe blunt.
This is disappointing! So many classics not included and so few earlier in the month! What’s up TCM?!?!
This is awful! Where are most of the classics? This person should be FIRED!
Where is The Holly and the Ivy?
Where is “We’re No Angels”. Usually is aired around middle of December.
Hi Sandra,
Unfortunately, we are not seeing a December air date for We’re No Angels.
Hi Leslie,
The Holly and the Ivy has been added to the schedule. It will air on December 20th at 10:15pm ET.
Not sure who the program director is now, but they need to do better. Lineup is terribly disappointing.
Please show Remember the Night with Fred McMurray & Barbara Stanwyck. Great movie. Also Susan Slept Here. Dick Powell & Debbie Reynolds.
Hi Becky,
Remember the Night has been added to the schedule. It will air on December 4th and 23rd.
I totally agree. I can’t believe what they have left out! Holiday Inn is one of my favorites. What a bummer. Their programming director should be fired.
Disappointing lineup this year.
I concur with much of what’s been here posted already….where are our favorites…Miracle on 34th Street (no, never the modern one – just the O’Hara/Wood original), Holiday Inn, It’s a Wonderful Life…please play those many times….and can we please see The Bishop’s Wife more than once in Mid-November?! as well as A Christmas Carol with Sim.
Also, I agree with one viewer who asked for some kid content….old Christmas cartoons…that would be swell!
I would like to see “Sitting Pretty” and a letter to Three wifes.
