What happened to the ION Christmas movies? Too rural to get cable so ION was the only channel on which we could watch Christmas movies and we were so looking forward to them. Guess we will scratch ION off of the channels we watch.

ION seems to be on a power ego trip, almost like they want the viewers that use an antenna to beg them to put the Christmas on and the schedule for viewing. Well, I for one do not beg anyone or any corporation to do the correct action. If they do not wish to share with Christmas movies with me and others, then so be it. Any and all corporations, fund raisers, anything at all that I can find is associated with ION will never receive a cent of my monies.

I only have old school antenna tv! This was the only station that showed original movies on Sundays during December. Is this going to continue or not! Friday nov 24 was Christmas movies, none today and none listed on their December listings at all! Please answer the question as making me go to a library and jump thru online hoops just gets me PO’d and does not endear you to me.

Unfortunately it appears ION TV has opted to scale back on Christmas programming this year. As of right now, nothing is airing through mid December. Hopefully that changes closer to Christmas weekend. We will continue to post updates here.

Because of the actors and writers strike earlier this year, I was not expecting any new Christmas movies this year. However, ION seems to be showing the same movies over and over again the last few years. At least during prime time. I would like to see some older ones from a few years ago during prime time. There was one called, ‘A Holly Christmas’ (not sure of the exact title). I only saw part of it once, but it was about a young lady named Holly who was engaged to a young man, who seemed a little arrogant. They planned a trip. I didn’t see how she ended up there, but when I caught it, she was crying, and the carriage driver was consoling her. She said that her fiance’ was a no-show. I know who she ends up with, but I didn’t want to type the spoiler alert. Anyway, this is one I would like to see again if there will be no new movies. I also like, ‘A Christmas Ball’. I think that’s the correct title.

You must be referring to “Beaus of Holly”, one of my favorites as well! 🙂

Please let them know there are more of us who look forward to watching the Hallmark movies every year on ION channel. We cannot afford cable and can’t always find the Christmas movies at the library. Please, please, please show more of the Hallmark Christmas movies during this holiday season. Thank you so much.

AJ Buckley was one of my favorite ION Christmas movie actors (postman in 2010 Christmas Mail who quits to become a rock star), before appearing in CSI NY (as a lab tech), Seal Team (wearing a cowboy hat).
Ashley Scott was another one of my favorite ION Christmas movie actors (Holiday Road Trip, Christmas Mail as Kristy North who answers Santa mail) who I haven’t caught in other series.

Lochlyn Munro was another one of my favorite ION Christmas movie actors (postal boss in Christmas Mail, a tycoon in another ION movie, …) who I haven’t caught in other series.

ION TV 2023 Holiday Movie Schedule is confusing. (In 2022, a list of all ‘over-the-air’ movies was published by November – new and repeats – so I could know in advance when to watch the new and my favorite older ones every December weekend .) It was only by chance my wife discovered the November 24 lineup – so I only caught the last 60 minutes of ‘The Case of the Christmas Diamond’.

Vivica A Fox is my favorite ION Holiday movie star. But I can only see her on TV (as Angie from Indianapolis) on CarShield commercials. (She’s the only spokesperson who actually acts, and don’t just read lines in a bored voice.)

We were really looking forward to the ion holiday movie season and had such fun watching yesterday. It had become a tradition for my daughter and I to watch regularly this time of year. We have very limited internet and no cable TV and are disappointed to not see more listed on the schedule. This seems odd. Are we missing something?

To ION, I too don’t have the luxury of having cable. For one, I choose not to. Because of all the horrible things they now and days show, confusing kids by shoving gender change, violence and gore as if we didn’t have enough already in this world, for once I want to sit down and watch a peaceful movie that doesn’t contain all the disgusting content I just mentioned above. Look, I just got off your fb page and everyone is complaining that they want their Hawaii five 0!!!! To be honest, I can care less about there Hawaii five 0!!!! This ridiculously show all year round along with other cop movies and violence, rape and mental disturbing movies!! These holiday movies are once a year!!! You understand?? Once a year. It’s not fare for those who are tired of turning on the TV everyday and see an episode of someone who raped some girl or got shot at. We have this going everyday in reality. For once, show the holiday movies Friday thru Sunday. It’s once a year and rarely get to see a peaceful movie!!! We have enough all year long all week seeing all these violent cops movies and chicago fire etc. So at least be considerate for people like us, like ME who is tired of seeing gore on tv!! Balance the movies now that you know these wonderful Christmas movies are once a year. Show them all weekend long. I enjoy these Christmas movies more than bloody twisted gore 365 days a year you show. I’m sure you know I’m right.

Linda, Maybe you are going to have to get cable because there were a ton of Christmas movies on many cable channels last weekend.
Or maybe you will have to get a DVD player do you can watch Christmas movies all year long.

Didn’t you read my post?? I choose NOT to have cable for many reasons that show on tv now and days. Today , movies are no longer movies but twisted mental perverted phsyco movies that many people route for. Not to mention men dressing up like women which I find really dumb. And lastly, I dont “have to” get cable and lastly I don’t “have to” get a DVD player either. If ION shows it free they why would I even listen to you? I don’t take orders. I give them.

You are right! Usually by this time, they show the pictures and descriptions of each movie. I don’t see anything for this year.

I love how in the movie A Christmas Princess, she takes the prince to a town to relax, and it just happens to be the little town , Aurora, from A Prince for Christmas. There are several charactors from the first movie, in different cameo roles in this movie. Only a true holiday movie lover would see this! So much fun to watch these movies.

Look we all are regular people, but there is just something about the Christmas movies that I find so delightful. And there is no violence against women and children. I too have no cable, so not even sure what I can see. I tried this morning hoping that there would be one on already, but no luck. I like the ION movies better, they are fun. I am fond of the old ones. Hope all the new ones can beat them. Hope these will be on a channel I get. Wish there were more, like every day.

I sure hope not. I’ve been looking forward to the ION Christmas movies the past few months. I don’t have cable or any streaming services. Even if there weren’t any new movies made this year due to the writer’s strike, there’s more than enough movies from the past years to broadcast on weekends & Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

I’m in agreement with the previous posters who would like to see more Christmas movies this year. There are many who dont subscribe to overpriced cable or complicated streaming services, and ION TV is OUR go to for Christmas movie television, and the enjoyment and Christmas spirit it brings. We are hoping to see an uptick in Chrismas movie broadcasting this year, and for years to come.
*Ratings should see the popular concensus as well. Merry Christmas everyone.
