Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas

From the last weekend in October until January 1st, Hallmark Channel runs the seasonal block called Countdown to Christmas, featuring a mix of holiday movies, specials and holiday-themed original programming. Countdown to Christmas officially began in 2009, while the channel’s first holiday original movie was aired in 2000. Since 2012, the network has also held a “Christmas in July” event with airings of previous movies. In February 2019, it was announced that in honor of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Countdown to Christmas event, the channel would air selections of movies on Friday nights throughout the year. This is continuing in 2020.

Geez, I’m seeing all these old Chrismas movies that I too loved to watch that had alot of meaning and wondered where they were, but if you will go here http://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysteries.com/movies you will see where all the good movies are showing. Channel 565 on Direct TV.

This is really terrible that Hallmark made this split in their channel access. Is hard enough to afford one channel and then to loose all the old Christmas favorites to a new channel when everyone has been anticipating the old shows we have learned to love. So Sad Hallmark.

I don’t understand all the complaining about Christmas movies being on too early. I have watched Golden Girls and Frasier reruns every single night for the last 10 months. It’s a welcome change to see something different for a short time.

I HATE the fact that they start Christmas movies the first week of November. I disagree with you all. I don’t want them to take off the Golden Girls. November 2nd is way too early to start promoting Christmas. Think about it ladies. All Hallmark around this time is just a giant advertisement for you to buy their Christmas products. Not having the Golden Girls on is ruining my morning routine going to work. I think they should start promoting Christmas around Thanksgiving time. I am not sure why promote Christmas so early. Hallmark will lose lots of advertising dollars because thousands of people like myself will not be watching. More people turn into the Golden Girls then holiday movies.

Oh, you said all I wanted to say! I am not a Grinch but this channel’s commitment to
Christmas 24/7 for two months is way over the top for me. I felt this way the past
few years and just wanted to voice that as well. Based on the previous comments
I am a minority but the Hallmark Channel should realize there are other viewers
as well. See you in december for a few movies but my viewing eye on a regular
      basis won’t be until January.

I love the Hallmark channel. Their programming is great for family viewing. My biggest complaint is the number of commercials during a show. I counted 12 commercials during one commercial break. The average commercial break usually has 9. That is absolutely ridiculous. . We have cable TV, which means we pay for the Hallmark Channel. There are times we choose not to watch a movie, just because we know there will be so many commercials.

I would like to print a schedule of the holiday movies that will be shown on my Hallmark channel; dish 185. Will this be possible at some point or is it available now? Also those scheduled for Hallmark movies and mysteries channel; dish 187. I don’t currently have this channel with my package, but it seemed as though last year, there were some movies on that channel that were some of my favorite ones and were not available on dish 185.

I’ve been slowly building my own DVD collection of Christmas movies. When I see a good price on one I buy it. This way I can watch them all year round. Christmas movies are my favorite. I know a lot of people are complaining they’re on too early & repeated too much. To each his own! I’m patiently waiting for my copy of “Snow Bride” to be delivered. It was a bit more than I normally spend on movies but worth every penny to me. Love that movie. Thank you Hallmark for such an extensive collection of Christmas movies!!

I lôve the Christmas movies and I do not think they start too early. In our town people start shopping in July and Aug. I wish we could get hallmark mysteries cannot. Can’t get the new one either. I called our cable company and they said we could not get it, not even at a higher cost. Christmas card is my favorite. To each his own. Christmas is my ,favorite time of year. It is a time when all my family gets together at once. Therfore, I love it. It is too hard during the year for all of us to be together.

The poll of which movie missed most from 2014 was hard.
I missed them all alot. Three Days I did see on another channel, though is always a must see.
The Christmas List and Undercover Christmas I missed so much. It was the first year since they came out I didnt see them. I even looked into buying and couldnt find them at a cheap price. Smoky Mountain Christmas is also really cute though I think I saw it on lifetime not sure, if its the one with Dolly.
I would prefer that older movies be on so that there is less repetitiveness and more options.
Especially between the two Hallmark channels its nice to have different movies on both channels each nite and throughout the week to choose from. NOT just the same one or two movies over and over.

Hi, my name is Mr. Jeremy Allocca, This upcoming 2015 holiday season, I can’t wait to see North pole 2 Open For Christmas, it is the sequel to last year’s North pole, I can’t wait to see it because I’ve been waiting all year to see this, since last year after I saw the trailer for North pole 2 Open For Christmas after North pole’s first T.V. airing on November 15, 2014. And North pole 2 Open For Christmas will air on November, 21, 2015 which is set to premiere the weekend before Thanksgiving, and I can’t wait for it to come out on DVD so I can get it on DVD, So I can have that one with the Original from last year. Also Thanksgiving week, Hallmark Channel is going to play North pole 2 Open For Christmas one night, a new one named Tis the season for love on another night, on November 26, 2015, Thanksgiving another new one called Ice Sculpture Christmas will premiere, on November 27, 2015, another new one named Crown for Christmas will premiere, and then on November 28, 2015 another new one called On time for Christmas which was previously called A Christmas to remember with Fuller house’s Candace Cameron Bure will premiere. Also I have heard this year’s Hallmark channel’s countdown to Christmas is supposed to be the Biggest Ever with 16 new movie premieres starting Saturday October 31, which is Halloween Day, Also in the coming weeks, Hallmark channel will release a detailed Christmas T.V. schedule for this year 2015.
